Hair Care Instructions

Initial Shampoo:

ALL HAIR FROM RED RIBBON EXTENSIONS COMES THOROUGHLY CLEANSED AND DEEP CONDITIONED.

  1. Take hair out of package and examine. Keep zip-ties intact during initial shampoo and condition.
  2. With a mild shampoo gently cleanse the hair in a downward motion using tepid water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Apply conditioner and begin combining from the ends to the top of the weft using a paddle brush or wide tooth comb. (Follow manufacturers instructions for conditioning time) Rinse.
  4. For curly hair apply a trusted product while still wet to help define curls and tame frizz.
  5. Allow hair to air dry for best results.

Hair Care Guidelines

  • Seal your wefts overtime to increase longevity and minimize shedding
  • Allow a licensed professional to install and color your extensions
  • Be gentle with your closures/ frontals. They are fragile items and must be handled delicately.
  • Roughly combing/brushing, plucking, and scratching can all cause ripping, holes and damage to the lace and shedding
  • ALWAYS comb through your closure or frontal before washing to reduce tangling
  • Smooth the hair when shampooing, don’t massage roughly or scrub excessively
  • Not all popular products work on Raw Hair! Remember this hair responds differently to hair products than our natural hair or processed hair does. Any problems with the hair likely come from the wrong products or improper hydration.
  • Detangle and put your hair up at night! Bantu knots, braids, twist, heatless curling or wrapping inside a silk head covering are how you’ll keep your hair in the best condition while sleeping.
  • Deep condition hair every 2 weeks to keep hair healthy and hydrated.

Finding the Right Products

- Look for products that have hydration abilities as a highlighted benefit of the shampoo or conditioner.
